Learning to rest is just as important as learning to work hard, as human energy is limited.
Procrastination#
It's just laziness in thinking.
- 5-minute rule. For events that you hesitate to take action on, just do it for 5 minutes!
- 2-minute rule. If something needs to be done sooner or later and can be done in two minutes, don't hesitate at that moment. Otherwise, it will accumulate over time and require more time and energy (switching).
- Break down tasks. If a task is too difficult and causes a fear of difficulty, it should be approached step by step.
- Only low-cost events are needed. By eliminating the seemingly daunting vagueness with minimal energy cost, you know what needs to be done along the way without having to redirect your willpower to rethink.
- You can use a two-hour scale to allocate a large task, or you can use the task content as a scale to allocate.
- Reward + delay. Give yourself some motivation to encourage yourself to complete tasks.
Mobile Phone Section#
- The best way to quit using your phone is not to stay away from it, but to occupy it. Use it to start a Pomodoro timer and occupy it.
Emotional Section#
- Changing mindset only takes one minute, but this one minute can change the whole day.
